Break!

Well, don't think that I broke something, by break I mean is as break which we got on one Saturday in our office due to a power cut.

S/W Engineer's Love Letter

Sweetheart,

I've seen you yesterday while surfing on the local train platform and realized that you are the only site I was browsing for. For a long time I've been lonely; this has been the bug in my life and you can be a real debugger for me now.

My life is an uncompiled program without you, which never produces an executable code and hence is useless.
You are not only beautiful by face but all your ActiveX controls are attractive as well.

Your smile is so delightful; it encourages me and gives me power equal to thousands of mainframes processing power.
When you looked at me last evening, I felt like all my program modules are running smoothly and giving expected results. /* which I never experienced before. */

With this letter, I just want to convey to you that if we are linked together, I'll provide you all objects & libraries necessary for a human being to live an error free life.

Also don't bother about the firewall which may be created by our parents as I've strong hacking capabilities by which I`ll ultimately break their security passwords and make them agree for our marriage.

I anticipate that nobody has already logged in to your database so that my connect script will fail.

And its all but certain that if this happened to me, my system will crash beyond recovery.

How to know you are a computer buff?

If you wonder wether you are a computer buff or not, please check for the signs listed below, the more signs you posses the closer you are to geekdom.
I share quite a few of them, and some which are freakishly uncommon and not listed below, like a few times i had HTML,PHP & JavaScript dreams.

• When asked about a bus schedule, you wonder if it is 16 or 32 bits.
• When counting objects, 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D..
• At the departmental store, you check to see if a kilogram is 1024 grams, a litre is 1024 mls.
• When you dream, you are going to dream in 256 palettes of 256 colors.
• When your wife says "If you don't turn off that damn machine and come to sleep, then I am going to divorce you!",you are going to scream at her for omitting the "else" clause.
• You try to sleep, and think : sleep(8 * 60 * 60); /* sleep for 8 hours */
• When you are reading a book, you would look for the scroll bar to get to the next page.
• If you want to call somebody you pick up the phone and start dialling an IP number...
• You are going to look for an icon to double-click, to open your bedroom window.
• When you go to balance your check book, you would discover that you'll be doing the math in octal.
• You would look for a trash can icon to throw garbage.
• When you get in the elevator you would double-click the button for the floor you want to go.
